Round Logs

Round logs will give your new log home a wonderful "pioneer" log home look and feel. They were first used by pioneers and settlers in the US who didn't have the means avaialble to them to mill logs as we do now. Logs were generally chopped down, delimbed and cut to fit.
Our round logs all though similar in style are a little smoother and more precise than our fore fathers could make and for a clean looking, pioneer feel these logs have stood the test of time.

Swedish Cope Logs
Shown with Saddle Notch corners.
Swedish Cope Logs are renowned for being one of, if not the, strongest fitting log form for log home construction.
The bottom of each log has a convave shape, while the top of the log remains in a naturally round form. The fit constructed by stacking these logs together also acts as a natural weather proofing. It allows rain and other forms of percipitation to flow down the outside of the structure without interference from flat, horizontal edges found on some logs.

"D" Log

Given its name from the "D" shaped appearance that can be seen from the end of the log, the "D" log is milled smooth on all 4 sides and perfectly flat on 3. It uses a double "tonge and groove" joint to give the logs an extremly secure and tight fit to one another. This logs locking system creates a great air barrier between the interior of a home and the outdoor elements. All without taking away that "outdoor" feel.

Stack Logs

Stack logs are more or less "square logs" as others like to refer to them as. They are planned and smoothed on all 4 sides with the air tight locking power of the double tonge and groove system.
